Road Work Update - 53rd Avenue & 54th Street Rehabilitation Project

Through resolution of Thorsby Council at the regular meeting held April 28, 2026, it was resolved to accept the tender of Pidherney’s Inc., upon recommendation of our engineers Select Engineering, to complete the 53rd Avenue & 54th Street Rehabilitation Project. The Project is budgeted for $2.4 million which will be funded by Provincial & Federal Grants, Reserves and a Debenture.

Construction is expected to start June 08, 2026.  Residents affected will receive communication regarding the construction and frequent updates which take into consideration garbage, recycling, and organics pick up, parking, emergency vehicle access and other issues.
