What are Minutes & Agendas?
Municipal meeting agendas and minutes are governance documents that keep a record and accountability of all decisions within the Town of Thorsby's Council.
- The agenda is a structured outline prepared in advance of a council or committee meeting. It identifies the items to be discussed such as bylaws, reports, and motions.
- The minutes are the official written record of what occurred during the meeting. They document attendance, motions brought forward, decisions made, and any resolutions passed.
Agendas are usually published by 4:30pm the preceding Friday before the meeting date. Minutes are approved and signed at every single Regular Meeting of Council, and cover all unapproved minutes prior to that meeting.
