Get Ready for May Long Weekend!

Looking for something to do this May Long Weekend?

There's no shortage of fun and activities to be found in the Town of Thorsby! Whether you're looking for a fun time at the Thorsby Haymaker Rodeo or some family friendly entertainment with the kiddos, there's something for everyone.
  • On Friday, get out and about at the Arctic Spas Recreation Complex and enjoy the annual Slo-Pitch Tournament . Accompanying the tournament is the Beer Gardens , hosted by the Thorsby Communities in Bloom Society!
  • Kick off your Saturday with a pancake breakfast at the Thorsby Seniors Centre, hosted by the Thorsby Lions Club and Campground, and then get ready for an entire afternoon of having too much to pick from!
  • You can't go wrong watching the parade starting at 12:00pm, which stops right at the Arctic Spas Recreation Complex where our hard working and fun loving Recreation team are hosting an afternoon of family fun . While you're there, support the 2027 Grad Class by visiting their fundraising barbecue!
  • Then, don't forget to head to the Thorsby Rodeo at the Thorsby Haymaker Centre to show your love and support, with Slack at 9am and the Saturday performance beginning at 5pm. Guess what? It keeps going! Sunday's performance is at 2pm.
  • Don't miss the FIRST Market in the Pines of the season at the Thorsby Lions Campground starting at 2pm. And after a full afternoon of fun, wouldn't a nice wind-down movie with the family be nice? Also at the campground will be Loonie Toonie Movie Night , starting around 9:30pm playing Zootopia 2 (95% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes!)
