Town of Thorsby - Fire Advisory Status

UPDATE, MAY 5TH 2026

Effective immediately, the Town of Thorsby is under a fire advisory.

Under a fire advisory, certain restrictions may be placed on burning and indicates that a fire restriction or ban may be issued depending on conditions.

Citizens can use cooking and heating appliances – such as:
• barbecues
• meat smokers
• firepits and;
• patio heaters.

Citizens are asked to use extreme caution when using burn barrels and fire pits. The Town of Thorsby will continue to monitor conditions and will update the public on the Town of Thorsby website, and albertafirebans.ca when the advisory is lifted or downgraded, or a ban is issued.
