Important Notice Regarding Upcoming Rainfall

Notice from the CAO – Important

This weekend we are expecting heavy rains again. We don’t know if we will put out an advisory, but we will be monitoring our pumps and systems. We follow the Weather Channel which has been very accurate.

IF we put out an advisory it will be immediate and that means all washing machines, dishwashers, showers, baths pool fills etc. will cease immediately. Flushing toilets will be used sparingly. I would advise that if you have washing or other things you wish to take care of, please conduct those activities today to be safe.

Sign up for our Mass Notification system on our website so you are notified. Specifically make sure you are choosing to be notified for Town Works and Emergency Notifications.

If you have elderly or sick and injured neighbour's, please let them know.

It may be nothing but we aren't taking chances because we already know our pumps will be overwhelmed.

DRINKING WATER:
Our drinking water is safe. It is on an entirely different system. You can drink it and wash in it. Just DON’T put it down the drain.

PUMPS:
Please man your pumps, get done what you need to today and early tomorrow because when or if we put the restriction notice out, we will expect immediate response.

We can tell right away on our compliance rate by watching the rate to which the water goes through the pumps – we thank you in advance.
