Proposed Responsible Pets Bylaw #2026-09

Council has passed first reading of the draft Bylaw #2026-09 Responsible Pet Ownership during the June 23rd, 2026 regular meeting. This bylaw is proposed to take effect over the current Bylaw #2022-07 Dog Control and will govern dog control and licensing while also expanding certain protections and enforcement options to cover other outdoor animals, amongst other changes.

All pet owners within the Town of Thorsby should view and read over the draft Bylaw #2026-09 Responsible Pet Ownership prior to the July 28th, 2026 regular meeting of Council, where it will return for its second and third readings.
