JOINT NEWS RELEASE: Exploring New Opportunities to Strengthen Water Security

This is the first press release to start the information process and to let you know that both Councils and Administrations have been working hard on this initiative. There will be more information coming out and dates to remember as we move forward this spring so stay tuned to the Wetaskiwin page. We have chosen this page to keep all information in the same place for easy location and so that you know that the information on that page is correct, real, and vetted by the Councils.

April 24 2023

Learn more about KidSport Leduc and Country with the below link:
https://kidsportcanada.ca/alberta/leduc-and-county/

They provide grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Leduc & Leduc County can play a season of sport.
Their chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $250 per child/year, for kids who live in Leduc & Leduc County, or in one of the other communities they serve:
Leduc, Devon, Calmar, Thorsby, Warburg.

KidSport Leduc and County is hosting their first annual Loop the Lake family fun run/walk in support of Kidsport Leduc & County! Choose a distance, invite your friends and donate to a great cause!

This event is a great way to support KidSport Leduc and County while spending time with your mama or family on mothers day weekend.

They will have food trucks on site, a DJ, and amazing volunteers for their first ever Loops the Lake.

Please spread the work so they can be sure that this is a successful event that helps them continue to fund youth sports in our communities.
