Thorsby Junior Senior High School is a grade 7 to 12 school of approximately 190 students.  The student population encompasses the Village of Thorsby and the surrounding area, including the north end of Pigeon Lake.

Our school offers a full academic program as well as many complementary courses.  The complementary courses include Band, French, and Career and Technology Courses (CTS) and online courses through the Black Gold School Division Moodle.  The CTS courses we offer in our facility include Culinary Arts, Construction Technology, Computer Programming, Visual Communications and Esthetics.  We also facilitate our students in off-campus educational programs such as Work Experience, the Green Certificate and the Registered Apprenticeship Program.

In relation to extracurricular activities, our students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of teams and clubs.  These include golf, cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, badminton, track and field, downhill skiing, students’ union, board games club, and  yearbook.
