JOINT NEWS RELEASE: Exploring New Opportunities to Strengthen Water Security

This is the first press release to start the information process and to let you know that both Councils and Administrations have been working hard on this initiative. There will be more information coming out and dates to remember as we move forward this spring so stay tuned to the Wetaskiwin page. We have chosen this page to keep all information in the same place for easy location and so that you know that the information on that page is correct, real, and vetted by the Councils.

Go Green: Battery Recycling Now Available at Arctic Spas Recreation Centre and Town Office.

February 7 2024

Residents of our community now have a convenient and eco-friendly way to dispose of used batteries, thanks to the introduction of battery recycling drop-off boxes at the Arctic Spas Recreation Centre and the Town Office. This initiative aims to promote environmental responsibility and reduce the harmful impact of improper battery disposal.

When dropping off batteries, please make sure the terminals on any end of the battery are taped before disposal. These disposal boxes are only for small batteries, but car batteries and lawnmower batteries can be dropped off at Public Works, please place them outside the Public Works Office door.
