This is the first press release to start the information process and to let you know that both Councils and Administrations have been working hard on this initiative. There will be more information coming out and dates to remember as we move forward this spring so stay tuned to the Wetaskiwin page. We have chosen this page to keep all information in the same place for easy location and so that you know that the information on that page is correct, real, and vetted by the Councils.

January 2 2024
UPDATE:
The water main main break was repaired on Jan 2nd/24 by 6:30pm, we thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding!

----------------

There is a water main break currently affecting the Fire Hall behind the Public Works shop on the corner of 49th Street and 49th Avenue.

The street has been mostly drained of water but there may be icy conditions and we advise all residents to be cautious when driving or walking.

At current, the water to the Fire Hall is turned off, and fire teams have been notified. There is no knowledge of any residents' utilities being affected by this water main break. If you are experiencing an issue with water in the nearby vicinity however, please feel free to call 780-405-2725 to reach Public Works.

Update will be provided when the main break is repaired.
